Yökyöpelit (Night Owls) is a fast-paced and absurd children’s musical mystery where Agent Neronaru tries to figure out where all the Night Owls’ house belongings have disappeared to. Who is nibbling and gnawing on them? As the investigation progresses, the cast of characters in the house becomes crazier scene by scene, but it seems the nibbler can’t be found…
Yökyöpelit is a big stage musical with live music, dance and a circus aerialist. As aesthetics of the piece I chose my favorite - a cartoon-style rhytmic comedy. I chose this play because of its poetic and playful language by Laura Ruohonen and challenging, excellent music by Anna-Mari Kähärä.
