Ilta Saimaalla

A joint production of Lappeenranta City Theatre and Saimaan Teatteri

Ilta Saimaalla is a posthumanistic immersive live music spectacle, that follows the dramaturgy of the Finnish evening tradition. The program of the evenings includes, among other things, a theatrical overview of the history of the region, strong musical numbers, healthy acrobatics and fortune-telling. The program numbers are united by an interest in the possibility of coexistence between humans and the rest of nature. Voice is given – amongst others – to Saimaa seal, giant cuttlefish and Anal Thunder.
